DIRECTIONS

 

Directions to Clubs and Match start times.

As at 4th April 2006

Aldermaston                        Winter 7.30 pm            Summer 7.30 pm

From M4 junction 12 take A4 towards Newbury for 3 miles, then at roundabout take A340 towards Tadley/Basingstoke (signposted for AWE). Follow road through Aldermaston village and veer right up hill to roundabout. Take first exit left and entrance to Recreational Society is 100 yards on left.

From M3 junction 6 follow signs for Hospital and continue on A340 for a further 5 miles to Tadley. At roundabout carry straight on past Esso garage and straight on at traffic lights until road veers left just past Barclays Bank. Entrance to Recreational Society is 350 yards on the right.

 

Arena Leisure Winter 7.30 pm Summer 7.30 pm

The Arena is situated at the junction of Grand Avenue and the A30 approximately 100 yds. from Sandhurst College main gates and the traffic lights for Camberley Town Centre.

Note: The Army courts are actually booked from 7.00pm, they request clubs to ask their players to try and arrive for 7.00 pm start. In the premier league the games are long and this is causing problems with courts and the supper arrangements, which is also caused by players arriving late, your assistance in alleviating this problem would be appreciated by the Army SRA.

Exit M3 junction 4. Head south on the A331 towards Guildford and Farnham.
After 3 miles take the exit signposted Aldershot Military Town (North) & North Camp. 
At roundabout turn right towards North Camp Town. At next roundabout (after 400 m) take 1st exit (left) towards 'Aldershot Military Town (North) A3011. There will now be a Army Barracks on your LHS then shops on your RHS. At the next roundabout take 1st exit towards Aldershot Military Stadium. Bare left, then at the mini roundabout take 2nd exit (to right) down Queens Avenue. After 500m the Aldershot Military Stadium will be on your LHS (the squash courts are behind this). At the next set of traffic lights turn left into Prince's Avenue. Drive past the hockey pitches on the left, past the Aldershot tennis centre on the right, after a set of bollards in the road turn left before the barracks and the sports centre is approx 200 metres on the right.

If you are approaching Aldershot from any other direction follow the signs for 'Aldershot Military Stadium' and then turn into Prince's Ave as above.

It is advisable to carry identification on you, and  cars are liable to be searched, allow time to enter the Barracks. You have been warned being searched will not be accepted as an excuse for being late.
You are expected to sign in and sign out of the sports centre.


Basingstoke S C                   Ladies 7.40 pm            Winter 7.40 pm             Summer 7.40 pm

From M3 (north and south): Leave M3 at junction 6, follow signs to Basingstoke, and get into middle lane at first roundabout.  Take second exit left, move into far left lane as soon as possible, and take slip road on left, signposted Town Centre, which joins a dual carriageway.  At the next roundabout (Eastrop) take the first exit left up a slight incline, then park in the new Festival Place car park on your right.  Once inside
the new shopping centre, the sports centre is near the north entrance opposite Moss Bros. And diagonally opposite Marks and Spencer.

From M4 via Reading: leave the M4 at junction 11, A33.  When A33 reaches Basingstoke follow signs for Town Centre to Eastrop roundabout then continue as above.

 

Beechdown                  Ladies 7.20 pm.            Winter 7.20 pm            Summer 7.20pm

A - Take M3 (either direction).  Leave M3 at junction 7, head towards Basingstoke on A30. Go straight over 2 roundabouts and the entrance to the Club is the next turning on the left hand side about 600m after the 2nd roundabout, signposted Beechdown Park.

B - From Reading A339.  Head for Basingstoke and on reaching the Ring Road, follow the signs Ring Road E & Alton A339. At the roundabout take the third exit on to A30 Ring Road South. Continue on the Ring Road to the Winchester Road roundabout (see below).

C  -  From Newbury (A339).  Head for Basingstoke and on reaching the Ring Road, follow the signs Ring Road West and Alton A339. Continue on the Ring Road to Winchester Road roundabout. ( see below)

From Winchester Road roundabout. Take the exit signposted Southampton / Winchester / Salisbury, variously M3, A33, & A30, you will pass B & Q on your left and the Football Ground on the your right. At the next roundabout ( Brighton Hill Roundabout) take the 3rd exit with signs to A30 / M3 / A33. Pass Homebase on your right, the road bears round to the left and uphill. The entrance to the Club, signposted Beechdown Park, is 400m after the Brighton Hill roundabout, just after the central traffic island.

From M4 at exit 8/9 take the A404M, proceed along dual carriageway for about 4 miles to a roundabout.  Turn left for Bisham and the centre is situated after Temple Lane on the left hand side approximately 400 yds. from the roundabout.

From M3 junction 6
Follow the signs for Basingstoke. At the Black Dam roundabout turn left (signposted Alton). At next roundabout, turn right into Hackwood Road, towards Fairfield. Take the first left, at Lamb Public House, and then second right into Fairfields Road. Bounty Squash is at far end of Fairfields Road within the club house of Basingstoke & North Hants Sports & Social Club.

From M4 Junction 11
Head for Basingstoke on A339. On reaching ring road follow M3 and Alton signs. At Black Dam Roundabout take 3rd exit signed Alton (See above for final stage).

Follow signs for Bracknell (A329). At roundabout continue on A329 to next roundabout. At next roundabout take second left into Downshire Way (first left goes under railway bridge). Turn right at next roundabout into Bagshot Road.  Sports Centre is on right hand side.

Follow signs to Bracknell (A322), the sport centre is located at the 3rd roundabout (left hand side)

A - From East of Reading. Leave M4 junction 11 take A33 to Basingstoke, next roundabout (200yds.) take third exit to Burghfield.  After 0.8 mile take right hand turn signposted Grazeley Green/Burghfield.  After 0.6 miles turn left immediately under Railway Bridge signposted Grazeley Green/Burghfield.  After 1.1 miles (passing PREMIER LODGE/Old Bell Public House on left) take second right into James Lane.  After sharp left hand bend travel about 80 yds. to Civil Service Club entrance on the right.
B - From West of Reading.  Leave M4 junction 12, A4 Bath Road to Reading proceed 2 miles (passing Reg Vardy Ford Garage on the right) take right hand turn at traffic lights signposted Burghfield.  Proceed for 3.1 miles (passing through Burghfield Village with Hatch Gate Public House on the right and the Six Bells Public House on the Left) taking left fork James Lane immediately after Rose Lawn Hotel.  Proceed 0.7 miles to Civil Service Club entrance on left.

 

Camberley Winter 7.30 pm Summer 7.30 pm

A - From London. A30 to Camberley.  Whites Garage is on left hand side at a set of traffic lights.  Go straight over staying on A30.  At next set of traffic lights get in right hand lane and 25 yds. after traffic lights into the Royal Military Academy - see C.
B - From Basingstoke. A30 to Camberley, past Camberley cinema on right hand side, turn left into Royal Military Academy 25 yds. before next set of traffic lights - see C.
C - Keep tennis courts on right hand side.  Follow road which will take you through a sharp right hand bend.  Turn left where it is signposted Churchill Hall - you will pass 2 cannons on your right.  Follow the road markings towards sports field and bear right.  Keep sports field on your left.  You will drive onto main parade ground with large clock tower on the right.  Park on edge of sports field opposite the clock tower.  As you park the courts are straight ahead of you in a new brick building directly in front of the cricket pavilion
Names of the team must be given to Giles Spear 3 days before the match so that names can be lodged with security at the Academy.  All players must have photographic identification (either a passport or driving licence, no other form will be accepted), on them and cars are likely to be searched, allow time to enter the Academy.  You have been warned being searched will not be accepted as an excuse for being late.

M4 Directions
Come off the M4 at junction 13 and take the A34 South to Newbury.  Take the 1st left onto the A339 signposted Newbury and Thatcham. At first roundabout (by Vodafone HQ) go straight across and at the first set of traffic lights keep in middle lane and go to next roundabout (2nd)- straight across following signs for A34 Southampton (Going South/A339). At the next roundabout (3rd) (on your left is the Police Station & Sainsbury's) go straight over keeping the Sainsbury store on your left. At the next roundabout (4th) take first left off roundabout (with Burger King on your left), and immediately at the mini roundabout turn right (into GreenhamRoad)
following the brown signs for the Racecourse.  Continue to follow signs to the Racecourse, once at the Racecourse follow the Cannons signs to the Club.

            M3 Directions
Come off the M3 at junction 6 and take the A339 towards Basingstoke.  Follow this road for appox 14 miles - it will be signposted to Newbury.  You will eventually come to a roundabout where the A339 turns right - signposted to Newbury. Go up the hill and at the next roundabout go straight over and down the hill.  At the next roundabout take third exit off roundabout (with Burger King on your left), and immediately at the mini roundabout turn right (into Greenham Road) following the brown signs for the Racecourse.  Continue to follow signs to the Racecourse, once at the Racecourse follow the Cannons signs to the Club.

Take Inner Distribution Road in Reading heading for Caversham at first roundabout (TGI Fridays on right hand corner) take first left to next roundabout and then straight over (Caversham Hotel is on your left).  Over Caversham Bridge bear round to the right at the traffic lights, up to next roundabout.  At roundabout turn left into Prospect Street, continue up hill at traffic lights take left hand fork marked Peppard, continue along Peppard Road for one mile and when level with pond on left turn right into Caversham Park Village.  Lowfield Road is perimeter road, continue along for 500/600 yards ignoring left turns until Northbrook Road, as you turn in you will notice a cluster of buildings in a hollow on your right which are accessed by a short slip road, the squash club is very clearly marked.

 

Charters Sports Centre                        Winter 7.45 pm            Summer 7.45 pm

A  -  From Reading follow A329 from Bracknell to Ascot, past Heatherwood Hospital at Ascot, turn right at mini roundabout signposted to South Ascot and Sunningdale.  Follow this road under railway bridge, through South Ascot, for about one and half miles until you reach a school sign on your left, turn left just after this sign into Charters Road.  The school is on the right and the recreation centre is behind the school.
B - From either Bracknell or the M3 J3 join the A30 signed towards Sunningdale/London. Follow the A30 for approximately two miles and turn left on the A330 signed to Ascot. Follow for 1/2 mile, Charters School is on the right, turn right into Charters Road, 2nd car park entrance on the right and follow signs to the back of the school.

M4 junction 5 and take the road to Datchet down to the mini-roundabout in centre of Datchet.  Bear right to another mini-roundabout (50 yds) and continue straight on.  The road bears sharp right with a Total garage on right.  10 yds further on is the entrance to Churchmead School.  Drive into school and continue right round back to the squash club with its own car park.  Coming from the south head for the centre of Datchet then follow the above directions

Leave the M4 at junction 7 (Slough West) follow signs to Slough.  At the roundabout turn right down the A4, Bath Road Slough.  At the 3rd set of lights turn left down Burnham Lane (immediately before McDonalds).  Proceed to end of Burnham Lane (approx 300yds) turn right onto Buckingham Avenue.  Dragons entrance is on the left.

 

Edgbarrow Winter 7.40 pm Summer 7.40 pm

M4 junction 10 follow signs A329M to Bracknell, pick up A3095 to Crowthorne. At mini -roundabout take 1st. left into the High Street.  Proceed and go over next mini roundabout to the traffic lights, turn left then 1st. right and follow road into Sports Centre.

 

Esporta Royal Berkshire Club                                    Winter 7.30 pm

The Club is mid-way between junctions 10 of the M4 and junction 3 of the M3.  The Club is located next to the Coral Reef swimming complex in Nine Mile Ride (B3430) which is off the A322 (A329M) - the Guildford/Bagshot Road

 

“F5” Hart Winter 7.30 pm Summer 7.30 pm

A - From junction 4A on the M3 follow the signs towards Fleet.  After going over the Railway Bridge, negotiate the roundabout, and then take the immediate right into Elvetham Road (you will see a Kwik Fit garage on the corner) and follow the road until the end.  Go over the roundabout into Hitches Lane and the Leisure Centre is on the left after about 800 yds.

B - On the A30, take the Fleet turning in the centre of Hartley Wintney and proceed for about 3 miles until you reach a roundabout, turn right over the railway bridge, and then take a right at the next roundabout, a 100 yards further on, into Hitches Lane.

From the American Golf Discount Centre junction of A30 with A325 one east of Camberley.  Take the A30 towards Camberley, after 200 yds. turn right into Caesars Camp Road.  At the end of Caesars Camp there is a green.  Go round the green turning to the right, after 200yds. turn right at the roundabout. Then right at the T-junction into the car park.

From Reading take signs to Caversham or Henley (A4155).  This will take you across either Caversham or Reading Bridges.  Follow signs for Henley. Enter Shiplake Village, turn right into Shiplake College (two entrances) after half a mile.  Squash courts are situated at back of building which looks onto cricket pitch/playing fields.

A - M4 to J14 follow signs to Hungerford. Turn right at Mini roundabout. At next roundabout take  right fork into Charnham Park. Follow this road almost to its end take a left turn into Herongate.

B - A4 from Newbury to Hungerford, go straight over the first roundabout and take right fork at the second into Charnham Park. Follow this road almost to its end and take a left turn into Herongate.

From M4 leave exit 8/9 on A308 for Maidenhead.  After passing under Railway Bridge follow signs for Slough and after 2nd roundabout turn left into Leisure Centre car park.

From exit 13 - M25 proceed along A30 towards London, through 2 sets of traffic lights to a roundabout where the A315 and B3003 join the A30.  Take exit to B3003 and the club - Princess Club will be found about half mile on the right.

Leave M4 at junction 10 and join A329M, head for Wokingham and Bracknell. Take first exit - Coppid Beech roundabout take last exit from roundabout signposted Wokingham.  You are now in London Road, straight over traffic lights and turn first left into St. Crispins Car Park

 

Temple                                    Winter 7.30 pm            Summer 7.30 pm

Entering the town of Eton from the north (B3022), turn right down Common Lane just before the first set of traffic lights. After 250 yards, turn right into driveway which takes you into Parade Ground where you park.  Pass under archway on right hand side of Parade Ground.  The entrance to the gymnasium/squash courts is ahead some 20 yards along to the right

 


University of Reading                Winter 7.30 pm        Summer 7.30 pm


From junction 11 on M4 – take the exit from the roundabout signposted Shinfield – B3270.  Go past Foster Wheeler on your left & up to the mini roundabout.  Turn left onto the A327 Shinfield Road. Go straight over the next two mini roundabouts & continue for approximately 1 mile when the main entrance to the |university will be found on the right hand side.  Turn into the main entrance, Queens Drive & then immediately left into the Sports Centre car park.

A) From the NE, M4 junction 10 with A329(M).
Go south on the A329(M), take Wokingham exit (turning right). Go into Wokingham and take the left lane in one-way system. In the town centre take left fork A321 Sandhurst. Stay on the A321 all the time. Count the roundabouts from the town centre. There will be 7 in total, 3 in Wokingham.  At the 4th roundabout you pass Gowring's garage. At the 7th roundabout (B3348-Wellintonia) turn left into Crowthorne (see sign for Crowthorne Railway Station). Go over railway bridge then after 150 yards turn right then left for 200 yards into the new car park.

B) From the SE, M3 junction with A322
Take A322 north towards Bracknell. At first roundabout turn left B3430 to Crowthorne. After 1.5 miles at next roundabout turn left A3095 then next right B3348 to Crowthorne. In Crowthorne go straight on at first roundabout then at mini roundabout take right fork (Dukes Ride). Follow this road for about 1 mile. Turn left just before parade of shops and railway station and then  left again for 200 yards into the new car park.

C )From the West (Reading/Basingstoke/Newbury) find the A327 in Eversley.
From the A327 (Reading - Eversley road), at the Tally Ho PUB in Eversley (the turn is sharp, the road narrow) take the B3348 to Crowthorne. BEWARE many twists and turns and the right fork at the Memorial. Finally down Wellingtonia Avenue into Crowthorne, over railway bridge then after 150 yards turn right  then left for 200 yards into the new car park.

From the M4

Leave M4 at junction 6 (Windsor and Slough Central) and follow signs for Windsor.  Follow dual carriageway to the end and at that roundabout go right round the roundabout as though you are doubling back on yourself and the Club is immediately on the left.  The Club can be seen on the right hand side as the roundabout is approached.

            From the M3

Leave M3 at junction 3 and follow the A322 towards Bracknell and Legoland.   Turn onto the A332 for Legoland towards Ascot. Keep following the signs to Legoland on the B383 then the B3022.  Pass Legoland on your left, go straight across a mini roundabout and turn left at the traffic lights onto the B3175 towards the M4.   At the roundabout take the second exit, signposted to the M4, but keep to the left as the Club is immediately on your left.
